Movie and TV Roles Keep Coming For Actress Anoush NeVart!

Multi-talented actress Anoush NeVart has just booked and shot the new John Welles TV pilot with the working title of "LAPD". Her role as the Armenian mother, "Agata", was the perfect character for Anoush to play; she lived in Yerevan, Armenia for 5 years. She says that she really got to know the people, the customs, the traditions, dialect, trials and tribulations of this amazing culture into which she was born. The pilot should be airing in January of 2009!

Anoush has a series of other projects in the works. She will be seen in the Comcast National commercials that start airing in November 2008, as well as a remake of the feature film "FAME", with a release date in 2009/2010. Her first foreign film, "The Quest", directed by the amazing Max Bartoli, will be shot in Rome in 2009!

Anoush has spent most of her life as a musician and began acting 4 years ago. Since then, she has booked roles on such TV shows as The Unit, ER, NipTuck, The War at Home, Judging Amy, and General Hospital, as well as a notable role in the feature film "Must Love Dogs" as Mrs. Parseghian. She originated the role of "Azniv" in the 2006 World Premiere of "Little Armenia" at the Fountain Theatre in Los Angeles resulting in rave reviews for Anoush in the LA Times and Backstage West.

Now, saying Anoush is multi-talented is practically an understatement! She's an actress, professional pianist and accompanist, recording artist, vocal coach, song coach, backup singer, composer, and was even nominated for Grammy award!! Not to mention, she also speaks French, Greek, Italian, and Russian!

Anoush says her life has changed dramatically as a result of becoming a Scientologist. "I have greater certainty in who I am, the decisions I'm making, the rightness of my decisions, with greater love and compassion for my fellow travellers (ARC), much more effective communication skills, and a sense of confidence that is worth all the tea in China!" Anoush also says that it wasn't so long ago that her life felt like a constant struggle. Emotional ups and downs were the norm, and that nagging sense of "something's missing" permeated her daily life. She says it's only been a year, really, that all of this has changed, thanks to L. Ron Hubbard's technology (Scientology), and most importantly, the APPLICATION of LRH tech. "Knowledge is fairly useless if I don't apply it", she said in a recent interview. "It's like having a bank account with money in it but you don't know the account number so you have no access to the riches in the account."

Click the below link to see a recent interview with Anoush in the Armenian Reporter (page C8) http://www.reporter.am/pdfs/C092708.pdf

MC Lyte featured in Celebrity Magazine

MC Lyte
The celebrity interview this month in Celebrity Magazine is with hip-hop artist MC Lyte.

She has been a Scientologist since 2003. Here are a few quotes from the interview:

"When I found Scientology, it was this real stuff that could better me."

[Speaking about other's advising against her starting her new group] "... it was like this small, little picture that someone else saw of me - like they couldn't get beyond what they had seen before. And Scientology helped me to know that I can be bigger."

[How to get started in Scientology] "... come in and take a personality test. That test can really flip you out, because just from answering simple questions, it'll tell you a lot about yourself."

[Her final advice] "... be unique. Be an individual. Do what your heart says to do. Do what your soul takes you or moves you to doing, and don't get caught up in other people's fears."

Jenna Elfman Slams Scientology Critics

The lovely and talented Actress Jenna Elfman, best-known for her role in the sitcom Dharma And Greg has no time for people who criticize her religion and urges people to get their facts straight before judging, according to ABC News.

While in Australia to film a TV special, this is some of what she had to say when asked about people that criticize Scientology:

"If someone starts talking to me negatively about something they've never actually studied that actual text of, I don't really admire them very much because it shows they don't have much integrity, so I just kind of ignore them."

"I'm not going to listen to gossip and hearsay about something that's affected my life so tremendously in such a tremendously positive way."

"It's a new religion. Historically every new religion has been [dismissed]."

"People were hanged, fed to the lions for their beliefs so this is just a modern day evolution of what happens when something new comes into our culture."

"It is not fully understood yet."

"I've seen drug addicts completely rehabilitated, I've seen the illiterate become literate, I've seen people that were so depressed and hopeless completely rehabilitate their goals in life, become happier, find partners."

"It's beautiful."

He stars in the just released Kill Switch with Steven Seagal, and the soon to be released Soul Men (in theaters November 7th) with Samuel L. Jackson and the late Bernie Mac. They both look like pretty good flicks.

Doug E. Fresh Celebrates Birthday With Concert!

Hip-Hop legend Doug E. Fresh celebrated his birthday by performing a concert! Also on the bill was rapper MC Lyte, she rocks too!
Man I wish I could have seen that! If you ask me there is nothing like rappers from New York. I think it's the accent, it just sounds more "real".

This reminds me of when I went to the "Fresh Festival" back in the 80's. It was the top rap acts of the day. I think it was Run DMC, Fat Boys, Grand Master Flash, Hoodini, and The New York City Breakers. 10,000 people, and we were some of the only honkies in the house! It was an awesome show!

Malibu Catches The Scientology Wave With New Church!

Hey there Dudes & Dudettes!

If you live in, or are visiting the Malibu area you are now lucky in more ways than one! The new Church Of Scientology Mission of Malibu, in beautiful and glamorous Malibu California has recently opened it's doors to service you!

As you probably know, Malibu is known for it's rich and famous celebrities, beautiful beaches, bikini babes, incredible homes, surfer dudes, and even paparazzi (and sometimes the surfer dudes and paparazzi not getting along so well as you may have heard. I recommend they all go to the new Malibu Mission and do The Success Through Communication Course. It would really help them all!).

Anyway, Malibu is certainly one of my favorite places on Earth. We go there as often as possible to just hit the beach, or go to a nice restaurant or whatever. And now we have another reason!

Less than an hour from the Hollywood area, the Malibu Mission is located right in the heart of downtown Malibu at 22467 Pacific Coast Highway (aka "the PCH"). They couldn't have chosen a more visible location.

Mission Holder Terri Novitsky says the Malibu Mission is a "Premiere Mission". As you can see from the pictures it's very nice inside.

The Mission offers the public Life Improvement Courses to help improve things like relationships, communication skills, getting along with others, personal values and integrity, work, money, and more. They also offer personal counselling (also called auditing) up to the state called Clear. Which is really awesome!

The Mission is totally set up to deliver the very popular Scientology purification program called the Purification Rundown. They have a beautiful sauna and exercise equipment for that purpose.

The Church Of Scientology Mission of Malibu offers several free introductory services for the public such as free personality and IQ testing, seminars, films, and tours. They've been having many curious visitors from all around the world stop by to see what it's all about.

When you are in the Malibu area you should definitely stop by and check it out.

If you have any questions about their hours of operation or when the next seminar is, or anything else, go ahead and give them a call at 310-317-1980. Or you can email the Mission at:

malibu@scientology.net .

If you've ever wondered what actually goes on inside a Church of Scientology then you've got to check out this video!: Inside a Church Of Scientology

Nice Article on Isaac Hayes

Coincidence is a funny thing. A friend lent me the entire series of "Stargate SG1" and I've been working my way through all 10 seasons. I'm nearing the end of season 8 and over the last couple of nights the guest star on the episodes I've watched has been none other than Isaac Hayes, playing a venerable Jaffa leader.

I didn't notice the credit so when he appeared on the screen I did a double take. Who-da-thunk! Isaac Hayes guest starring on one of my favorite Sci-Fi shows.

Anyway, I also came across this nice article about Isaac: Theme from Shaft
